She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree in 1986 from the University of Medical Sciences of Havana and began her career as a family physician serving communities throughout Havana, where she was recognized for her compassionate care of elderly patients. Her professional background includes clinical experience across international and U.S. healthcare systems, as well as advanced training as a Family Nurse Practitioner, completed in 2015. In 2016, she founded Sarroca Medical Center with the goal of delivering personalized primary care focused on prevention, wellness, and continuity.
